David Warner returns to IPL after ball-tampering row

After the ball-tampering controversy ended in the previous edition of the Twenty20 tournament, David Warner joined his Indian Premier League on Sunday.

Both Steve Smith and David Warner were banned from participating in a profitable league after engaging with the scandal last year.

After a review of cricket after the South African scandal, in Dubai, recently, a one-year international ban was imposed in Dubai.

Both of the players, who returned due to an elbow injury, will be eligible for a part of the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan, but the selectors have decided that the form will be easy to rejuvenate in the IPL.

Warner took the social media to thank his franchise for his "faithful support" by his international sanctions, which ended on 28 March.

"I can not thank the franchisees and fans for your loyal support for the wonderful 12 minutes to come back to Sunrisers Hyderabad. It's time to get back," he wrote.

Warner and Smith were dismissed in front of the governing council of the League in the 2018 edition to lead the Sunrisers in the 2016 IPL.
